What is PON?

Passive Optical Networking (PON) is the technology that enables high-speed fibre broadband to be delivered to homes and businesses. Unlike traditional copper networks, PON uses fibre optic cable and a shared architecture to provide fast, reliable connectivity while keeping infrastructure costs low.

Supporting both GPON and XGS-PON technologies, PON allows operators to serve large numbers of customers with minimal active equipment, making networks easier to maintain and scale.

Building the Network

Every fibre network relies on equipment at both the provider and customer ends to deliver reliable, high-speed connectivity.

Optical Line Terminals (OLTs)

Located at the head end of the network, OLTs manage and distribute services across the fibre infrastructure. We work with leading vendors including Nokia, DZS and Datacom to provide solutions ranging from compact systems for smaller deployments to scalable chassis platforms for larger networks.

We maintain stock of a wide range of OLT solutions, helping customers reduce lead times and accelerate network rollouts.

Optical Network Terminals (ONTs)

Installed within homes or businesses, ONTs provide the connection between the fibre network and the end user. Available in a variety of configurations, they enable reliable broadband connectivity for residential and commercial applications.

Through partnerships with leading manufacturers, we hold stock of a broad range of ONTs and customer premises equipment, ensuring solutions are available for a variety of residential and commercial deployments.

• Cabinet Prebuilds
  Due to the modular ability of our street cabinet offering, we work closely with customers to design and prebuild to your exact specifications. Our in-house staging facility enables you to take delivery of cabinets fully built and ready for fibre to be connected. Removing engineering hours required in the field.

• NOC monitoring
  Our UK-based NOC is available 24/7 to manage, monitor and support your network.

• Electrical Staging
  Optimise your network rollout by utilising our electrical staging facility. Either build upon our standard design or let us engineer you one from scratch. With options available for requirements such as DC and AC equipment, battery backup systems and much more. This system can then be built into your cabinet pre-delivery ready for connection by your DNO.

  We offer a range of support contracts to suit your business needs. Ensuring our team of technical consultants and engineers are available when you need them most. Our in-house lab facility is also available to replicate faults and test resolutions, reducing your network downtime.
